After Weight Loss Surgery

At Timothy Katzen, M.D., we’re proud to offer our patients both assistance in losing weight and help sculpting their ideal physique once they’re at their goal weight. We’ve found that patients that have undergone significant weight loss are more likely to feel better about their transformation and keep the weight off when they undergo a cosmetic procedure to perfect their results.

After Weight Loss at Timothy Katzen, M.D.

Losing weight is a deeply personal endeavor that is different for everyone. While some people are able to shed extra fat quickly and easily, others can struggle for months to see noticeable improvements.

Because we know the path to your ideal body can be difficult, our practice offers patients a variety of weight loss interventions that can make it a little easier. These can include:

  • Diet modification plans
  • Weight-loss medications
  • Injections

All of these methods are administered by trained professionals on Dr. Katzen’s medical staff, particularly Debbie Wong, MPH, RD. Debbie Wong is a registered dietitian who specializes in helping patients lose and manage their weight.

Post-Weight Loss Procedures

Once our patients have reached their weight loss goals and are at a healthy body weight, we can begin using cosmetic procedures to help them perfect their new bodies. We offer these treatments for three different areas of the body, including the body, breasts, and face.

Body procedures can help clients with excess skin as the result of weight loss tighten and tone their physique. They can also be used to help remove any stubborn areas of fat that were unaffected by the patient’s weight loss.

For women interested in enhancing the curves of their new body may want to consider a breast procedure following weight loss. These procedures can improve the size, shape, and overall appearance of the breasts, either by adding or taking away some of their volume.

Facial procedures can be a great way for post-weight loss patients to get rid of excess skin and fat. These procedures can also be used to add the finishing touches to a patient’s new look by accentuating their natural beauty.
